The Assistant Director of Facility Operations is responsible for assisting the Aquatics Director in the support of day-to-day operations of the Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMilliion Natatorium/Holt Hickman Outdoor Pool. Duties include coordinating and implementing all operational, logistical, and technical efforts related to the facility/facilities. This position may assist with Football game days as well as other internal or external events on campus. Job summary Essential Functions: Supervise Student and Part-Time Lifeguard staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management Assist with scheduling and coordination of outside groups and ensuring compliance with meeting all facility requirements. In absence of Aquatics Director, serve as lead point of contact for daily pool operations and scheduling. Assist with Aquatics Director with operations of competition; This includes setup and tear down of meet equipment, entries, organization of event and conduct of each session. Assist the Facilities and Operstions Department with supoorting other home SMU atheltic events as well as external events on campus. Assist with Aquatics Director with operations of competition; This includes setup and tear down of meet equipment, entries, organization of event and conduct of each session. The normal schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekends may be required for competitions and events.
