    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Upgrading Wide Area Network (WAN) equipment and fiber infrastructure at remote locations CONUS an OCONUS</li>\n <li>Designing and implementing cable infrastructure for data centers and outside plant fiber</li>\n <li> Working with network engineers to establish layer 1-3 connectivity </li>\n <li>Performing installation of routers, switches, encryptors and patch panels in racks</li>\n <li>Performing inside plant fiber installation: data center fiber installation, telecom room to telecom room fiber installation</li>\n <li>Performing outside plant fiber installation: building to building fiber installation through manholes and handholes</li>\n <li>Working with node site coordinator to extend WAN circuits to routers</li>\n <li>Coordinating with remote site POC’s to plan, design, and schedule equipment and infrastructure installation</li>\n <li>Coordinating with remote COMSEC custodians to ensure the correct Keymat is ordered ahead of installation, working with local COMSEC custodians to send out appropriate COMSEC device to site</li>\n <li>Creating cable diagrams before and update after installation is complete</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>#LI-TF1</em></p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>CCNA or CompTIA Network+</li>\n <li>Information Technology background </li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in network WAN/LAN with experience in troubleshooting layer 1 connectivity issues</li>\n <li>Six plus years of experience in the following areas:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Working with copper cable infrastructure (CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A)</li>\n   <li>Working with Single Mode and Multimode fiber (OS2, OM1, OM3, OM4)</li>\n   <li>Troubleshooting Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity issues</li>\n   <li>Installing fiber optic transceivers (SFP, QSFP, media converters)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Knowledge of outside plant (OSP) fiber installation and safety, including OSHA safety standards and confined space training</li>\n <li>Understanding of Data Center Infrastructure, including hot aisle/cold aisle environments, cable ladders, rack installation, and cable managementKnowledge of fiber and copper test equipment, such as Visual Fault Locator (VFL), Fiber Optic Power Meters, CAT5E/CAT6 testers, OTDR, and T-BERD</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visual Basic)</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift, move, carry 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Must be willing to relocate to Charleston, South Carolina</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Six plus years of experience in the following areas:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Installing routers, cryptographic devices, circuit activations, and fiber infrastructure</li>\n   <li>Performing fusion splicing, including splice‑on connectors, loose tube, ribbon fiber, and splice tray organization</li>\n   <li>Working with DISA Telecommunications Service Orders (TSO)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Prior military service or experience contracting with a government agency</li>\n <li>Troubleshooting network issues in a WAN environment working with Network Engineers to determine if it's physical (layer 1) or logical issue (layer 2-3)</li>\n <li>Troubleshooting cryptographic devices, i.e. correct keymat, IP address, SA tunnels and route information</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Clearance Information</h2>\n<p><strong>SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL.</strong></p>\n<h2>Travel Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>75% Travel, able to travel for up to a month at a time, usually, one to two weeks</li>\n <li>Able to obtain US Passport (company pays)</li>\n <li>Driver’s license required </li>\n <li>Willing to drive overseas to include (Left side of the road I.E.
