    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">We welcome both local and remote applicants to apply: While there is a preference for candidates who can work in a hybrid capacity from our Montpelier, VT office, remote candidates located throughout the Northeast will also be fully considered.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Work directly with the Loss Control Manager to assist internal and external customers by positioning the Loss Control Department&rsquo;s value. Collaborate with business partners and underwriters to optimize the use of this service and leverage findings to support effective risk understanding and class fit.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Work with LC Manager and other LC Team Members to help be a &ldquo;voice of LC&rdquo; to agents and insureds as needed</li><li>Participate with business partners to meet account-level service goals</li><li>Assist LCS, and LCM to foster collaborative relationships with Underwriters in personal and commercial lines.</li><li>Provide timely response to requests for property and liability assessments in support of prompt customer response and timely business decisions</li><li>Assist in daily functions of internal inboxes and provide timely responses</li><li>Work with multiple Loss Control department software programs</li><li>Identify basic risk characteristics and an overview of key operations and exposures</li><li>Discover and evaluate customer needs through the survey process or loss trends</li><li>Perform daily functions of clear self-surveys, including reviewing inspection and creating valuations as needed</li><li>Stay current with technical subject matter</li><li>Create a valued customer experience through each customer engagement</li><li>Provide Loss Control Recommendation input and review compliance</li><li>Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><br></p><p><strong>SUPERVISION RECEIVED</strong></p><p>Moderate supervision is received from the Loss Control Manager.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in marketing, business or other appropriate discipline, or previous experience in the property &amp; casualty industry&nbsp;</li><li>1+ year experience in safety, risk control, or related insurance fields including but not limited to construction, liability, hazards and mitigation of loss</li><li>Recognized relevant certifications (AINS, ASP, CSP, ARM) or ability to attain certifications to meet specific state requirements were applicable</li><li>Strong organizational, critical thinking and influencing skills</li><li>Experience working in a collaborative environment</li><li>Preferred experience in an Automated Loss Control system such as Loss Control 360</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office</li><li>Strong preference for experience with Commercial UW/Loss Control</li><li>Strong preference for experience with property valuation tools such as Commercial Valuation.</li></ul><p><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Typical office or residence-based/field environment.</li><li>For field based positions, regular outside automobile day travel of approximately 80% is expected.</li><li>Periodic travel (including occasional overnight) in the New England states</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><em>The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position.
