The College serves more than 3,300 undergraduate students in 30 majors and provides graduate programs in Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Applied Mathematical Science, Engineering, Computational Science, and Nursing. Accreditation/Certification is held by ABET, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the American Board of Funeral Service Education, and the American Chemical Society. UCO is an institutional member of the Council on Undergraduate Research. Other responsibilities include scholarly/creative activities and service to the department, college, university, and profession. Activities directly related to the Curley Endowed Chair for Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice are the expectation of actively publishing papers in refereed journals; giving presentations at national and international conferences with one or more nursing students; and assisting faculty in the publication process within refereed journals, the development and implementation of evidence-based projects and the formulation of presentations at national or international conferences.&nbsp; The Curley Endowed Chair for Nursing Research works directly and constructively with the Director of the School of Nursing and the CMS Director of Sponsored Research to develop grant proposals leading to the submission of a completed external grant proposal every other year.&nbsp; Service expectations include maintaining an active role in curriculum and assessment as it pertains to research and evidence-based practice and developing innovative programs that improve nursing research for faculty and students in the School of Nursing.</span></span></p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">Possible areas of instruction include Research and Evidence Based Practice and/or courses in the graduate program. Masters or Doctorate in Nursing. Current Oklahoma RN License, CPR, vaccination status and tuberculosis testing required. Drug screen will be required before starting clinical duties.
