This requires a combination of laboratory and engineering skills along with project management capabilities</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p>Duties may include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary to support quality goals and objectives.</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Work with customers to obtain quotes for new product development or CFD modeling tasks&nbsp;</li><li>Define laboratory configuration required for new product development.</li><li>Measurement and verification of laboratory parameters (airflows, temperatures, etc).</li><li>Install and run data acquisition equipment.</li><li>Understand and perform required test standards (UL 710, UL710B, UL710C, ASTM F1704, etc.).</li><li>Write reports containing the test results</li><li>Coordinate with global Research and Development counterparts for product harmonization opportunities where applicable.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Project Management Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></u></p><ul><li>Meet with the new product leadership team to define the project criteria and add the project to the MS Teams Project Plan and/or SharePoint Action Plan along with all supporting information.</li><li>Prepare a project plan.</li><li>Identify features on new products which may be novel and patentable.</li><li>Manage the day-to-day project status which may consist of:<ul><li>Planning and delegating tasks</li><li>Training people where required</li><li>Seeing they meet the required deadlines and deliverable</li><li>Update the Action Plan and Weekly Report on a weekly basis.</li><li>Hold regular review meetings with the new product leadership team to assess results, costs, goals, etc.</li></ul></li><li>Prepare a final report containing a description of the project, test methods used, results obtained and future suggestions.</li><li>Prepare presentations on the project results for customers and sales personnel.</li><li>Have a project rating session with the new product leadership team.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p>None</p><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
