Perform regular quality checks, ensure instrument maintenance is up to date.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>JOB</strong></u> <u><strong>DUTIES</strong></u> <u><strong>AND</strong></u> <u><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u><strong>:</strong> The following functions have been determined by Ideal Option to be essential to the successful performance of this position which includes but is not limited to:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Analyze patient specimens by performing and verifying diagnostic medical laboratory tests and following department protocols.&nbsp;</li><li>Make independent decisions relating to patient testing and prioritization of testing.&nbsp;</li><li>Process, package and ship specimens to be transported to main laboratory for further testing.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform and report quality control on all instrumentations before reporting test results following established quality control policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of instruments and equipment and documents appropriately.&nbsp;</li><li>Verify all normal and abnormal results, correlates abnormal test results with other patient data. Notify appropriate medical staff of test results.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains patients' medical records and verify accuracy.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in ordering laboratory supplies and necessities to maintain appropriate level of inventory.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform and report laboratory tests in chemistry, serology, urinalysis, and hematology departments, other areas as trained&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain continual sustained attendance.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete eight hours of Ideal Option approved continuing education annually&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>",
