    "description": "<p>We are seeking an experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Distribution / Transmission Designer</span> to support the planning, design, and execution of electric utility infrastructure projects. This is a non-entry-level position requiring strong technical expertise in underground and overhead electric systems, substation one-line development, and strict adherence to utility construction standards. The ideal candidate will have an <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Electrical Engineering background with significant hands-on utility experience</span>, supporting both transmission and distribution systems in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.</p>\n<p>This role is critical to the successful delivery of capital construction, system upgrades, reliability initiatives, and modernization programs across the electric grid.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Electrical Engineering</span> (Civil or Mechanical Engineering accepted with strong electric utility background).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience</span> in electric utility <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">transmission and/or distribution design</span> (required).</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience producing detailed design packages for underground and/or overhead electric systems.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation</span> (non-negotiable requirement).</li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of utility construction standards, specifications, and as-built documentation.</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret station one-lines, cable schedules, duct bank layouts, and protection/control diagrams.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordination with engineering, construction, and field personnel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESRI ArcGIS</span> and spatial utility data (preferred, not required).</li>\n<li>Familiarity with utility asset management systems and GIS-driven design environments.</li>\n<li>Experience working under regulated utility environments and public utility commission standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Transmission &amp; Distribution Design</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop detailed design packages for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">underground and overhead transmission and distribution systems</span>, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Conduit and duct bank layouts</li>\n<li>Pole line designs and structure loading</li>\n<li>Cable routing plans</li>\n<li>Equipment layouts and clearances</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Prepare and interpret <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">substation one-line diagrams</span>, electrical schematics, and related station design drawings.</li>\n<li>Perform constructability reviews to ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and operational requirements.</li>\n<li>Apply applicable <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">utility standards, NESC requirements, local codes, and engineering specifications</span> throughout all designs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Drafting &amp; CAD Production</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce professional-quality design drawings using <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">AutoCAD and/or MicroStation</span>.</li>\n<li>Develop plan, profile, section, and detail sheets for construction packages.</li>\n<li>Revise drawings based on field feedback, redlines, and as-built conditions.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate version control and drawing documentation in accordance with project standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Field &amp; Construction Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support field verification, site walks, and existing condition assessments.</li>\n<li>Review contractor RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications during construction.</li>\n<li>Provide ongoing engineering and design support to construction teams throughout project execution.</li>\n<li>Assist with final <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">as-built documentation</span> and closeout packages.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation &amp; Standards Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all design work aligns with approved <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">utility construction standards, specifications, and safety requirements</span>.</li>\n<li>Maintain consistent documentation practices for drawings, calculations, and design assumptions.</li>\n<li>Support audits, quality reviews, and regulatory compliance efforts.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Skills &amp;
