This person performs preventive maintenance work that could involve the use and operation of complex and highly technical equipment and techniques. The Carpenter exhibits sound decision-making skills, productivity and professionalism. &nbsp;Does not engage in, nor allows others on the staff to work in a hazardous manner or under hazardous conditions.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ol><li><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><ol start=\"1\"><li>Assist in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, renovation, remodeling and general upkeep in order to keep the facility functional and attractive to prospective customers.</li><li>Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned timeframe in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the Hotel, its safety, and its equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform systematic checks and inspections to aid in the upkeep of the hotel and assist in the established proactive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns and general depreciation.&nbsp;</li><li>Immediately and courteously, respond to guests needs in order to repair and/or resolve room maintenance requests and problems as they arise.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain tools, workspaces and equipment in safe, secure and good condition in order to reduce accidents and to prolong their use.&nbsp;</li><li>Repair and/or change room locks for the security of hotel and guests.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and associates.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.</li><li>Capable of dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.</li><li>Fulfill Carillon Miami Beach Standards for service to guests, residents and club members.</li><li>Responsible for PPE (personal protective equipment) use and daily maintenance.</li><li>Adhere to Carillon Miami Beach Facility Lock and Key policies and procedures.</li><li>Support the HotSOS work order system in implementation and adherence, including the prioritization of assigned work. &nbsp;Originate work orders to remedy problems and/or faulty conditions and assure the quality and timeliness of the remedial work. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain open and professional communication between management and staff. &nbsp;Follow procedures in the use and maintenance of all communication equipment and devices.&nbsp;</li><li>Read, write and communicate instructional and other technical terms, details and concepts in the English language, that are consistent with the job requirements of a painter/carpenter.</li><li>Support the Hazard Communication Program of the facility. This includes a thorough knowledge of MSDS, product labeling, storing and handling of materials etc.</li><li>Assist in execution and quality of the work assigned to the Engineering Maintenance team.</li><li>All activities, work, actions and time are documented in writing, on a daily basis.</li></ol>\n    </div>\n  \n",
