With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p><span><b>Role Description</b>:</span></p>\n<p><span>Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated&nbsp;<b>Quality Inspector&nbsp;</b>to support one of the&nbsp;<b>most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States</b>&nbsp;— the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).&nbsp;In this role, you&nbsp;will be responsible for&nbsp;conducting inspections, audits, documentation reviews, and collaborating with project teams to resolve quality issues.</span></p>\n<p><span>We are working as the Delivery Partner along with team members and selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program&nbsp;<b>— one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation</b>&nbsp;— and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.</span></p>\n<p><span>The project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.</span></p>\n<p><span>This is more than just a job —&nbsp;<b>it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program</b>&nbsp;that will reshape rail transportation, drive sustainable economic growth, and improve regional accessibility for millions. Control</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Conduct inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support the implementation of the project’s Quality Management Plan and related procedures.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform quality audits of contractors and subcontractors to confirm adherence to package-specific quality processes and procedures.</span></li>\n <li><span>Review and verify contractor compliance with approved testing and inspection plans, including evaluation of test results and maintenance of up-to-date testing logs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Documentation &amp; Reporting</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Review quality documents from contractors and provide feedback and recommendations to project management and stakeholders.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain systematic, retrievable records of all testing, inspection, acceptance activities, and outstanding punch list items.</span></li>\n <li><span>Document any nonconforming work in Nonconformance Reports, verify completion of corrective actions, and monitor resolution of quality issues.</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare and submit quality-related reports, including daily, monthly, and quarterly summaries as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Materials Testing &amp; Inspection</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Coordinate and monitor materials testing required under project contracts, including off-site lab testing performed by independent testing organizations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensure that all materials used in construction meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Project Coordination</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Collaborate with resident engineers, contractors, and other project team members to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.</span></li>\n <li><span>Participate in meetings, technical briefings, and coordination sessions related to quality assurance and control.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Compliance &amp; Safety</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Ensure all quality activities comply with federal, state, and local codes, standards, and permitting processes.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support the implementation of safety management plans and procedures as they relate to quality assurance.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Required Qualifications</b>:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, or construction management on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.</span></li>\n <li><span>ACI Material Testing certification and or NICET Level ll or greater.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Key Skills and Abilities</b>:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Knowledge of construction methods, quality assurance processes, and materials testing.</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with document control, inspection procedures, and quality management systems.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project management software.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to take initiative.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.</span></li>\n <li><span>Willingness to work in the field and adapt to changing project needs.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of federal, state, and local codes, standards, and permitting processes is a plus.</span></li>\n <li><span>Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Preferred Experience/Qualifications</b>:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance is preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience working on tunnel, rail, or major transportation infrastructure projects.</span></li>\n <li><span>Deep Pile Foundation Experience</span></li>\n <li><span>Structural Steel&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Viaducts and Bridgework</span></li>\n <li><span>Rebar installation for Mass Concrete.</span></li>\n <li><span>Environmental expertise (wetlands preferred)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
