          "text": "<p><strong>SUMMARY STATEMENT OF WORK PERFORMED:</strong> &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0; Utilizes advanced skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and metal working to repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment in compliance with established safety regulations and SOIs.&#xa0; Functions as lead person on shift rotations supervising M1s, M2s and M3s on shift.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job follow.&#xa0; Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Utilizes advanced skills to complete any work order assignment</li></ul><ul><li>Serves as special project point person</li><li>Utilizes advanced skills to perform boiler and mechanical room operations</li></ul><ul><li>Performs plant start-ups and plant shutdowns</li><li>Performs gauge and instrument calibration</li><li>Utilizes advanced skills for trouble shooting and repair of equipment</li><li>Maintains critical parts inventory</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p>TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:</p><ul><li>Various hand tools (wrenches, saws, drills, hammers, etc.)</li><li>Vertical and horizontal band saws</li><li>Pipe threader (hand and electric)</li><li>Welder and torch</li><li>Electric grinders, porto-band saw, rotary drill, magnetic drill, reciprocating saw</li><li>Radial drill press</li><li>Pneumatic grinders, saws, impact gun</li><li>Drain cleaners (electric and gas)</li><li>Powered industrial trucks and lifts</li><li>Multi-meter, amp meter for electrical</li><li>Lap top computer</li><li>Calibration test equipment</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required; two years vocational or one year of technical strongly preferred</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><p>Minimum of five (5) years of general maintenance required</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of machinery and physical plant operations</li><li>Advanced skill level equivalent to journeyman in electrical, hydraulics, boiler operations, mechanical, pneumatics</li><li>Certified welder/metal worker</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Basic electronics</li><li>Basic skills in PLC</li><li>Windows XP, Tisoft, Rockwell software</li><li>Word and Excel software</li><li>Ability to work without close supervision</li><li>Ability to solve maintenance-related problems</li><li>Self motivated, aggressive and team oriented</li><li>Supervisory skills sufficient to function on lead person rotation</li><li>Willing to work any shift, including weekends, and rotational call-in schedule on holidays</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> &#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0; While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to</p><ul><li>Occasionally sit, bend, stoop, climb and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (up to 2 hours/8 hour day)</li><li>Frequently use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms; walk; stand; talk and hear (up to 6-hours/8 hours day)</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p><ul><li>Safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection are required.</li><li>The ambient temperature level can exceed 100 degrees in the summer months</li><li>Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions year-round</li><li>Hard hat and safety harness required when operating manlift or working on ladder above 6 ft. from ground</li><li>Hard hat required if working on floor within 10 ft. of manlift or ladder being used for overhead work</li><li>Protective gloves required for electrical, gas cutting, welding or working with hot materials</li></ul>",
