As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Registered Practical Nurse </strong>to join our <strong>Endoscopy</strong> team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status: </strong>Permanent Part Time<strong>Hours of Work:</strong> Must be available to work all rotating shifts from Monday to Friday including 7:00-3:00, 7:15-3:15, 7:30-3:30, 8:00-4:00 and/or 8:30-4:30 - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights</p>\n<p><strong>Location:  </strong>Humber River Health, Wilson Site<strong>Labour Group: </strong>NOWU<strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Endoscopy & PACU<strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> $38.893 - $39.458</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li> Registered Practical Nurse duties as set out by the department</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program</li>\n <li>Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario</li>\n <li>Current BCLS certification required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work at full scope of practice</li>\n <li>3-5 years of recent medical-surgical experience required</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 year Endoscopy Suite experience required and obtained recently</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Phase I and II Recovery criteria</li>\n <li>Demonstrated excellent patient assessment skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated good organizational skills and problem solving skills required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors</li>\n <li>Demonstrated excellent patient/family teaching skills</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills, both oral and written</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment</li>\n <li><p>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required</p></li>\n <li>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
