          "text": "<p><strong>Assistant Controller</strong><br>\n<strong>Location:</strong>&#xa0;Tyler, TX<br>\n<strong>Pay:</strong>&#xa0;Based on Experience<br>\n<strong>Schedule:</strong>&#xa0;Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><br>\nFinance &amp; Operational Support</p><ul><li>Assist in developing, communicating, and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and performance models for divisional business units.</li><li>Monitor working capital, inventory levels, and asset utilization to support financial and operational objectives.</li><li>Prepare financial analyses to support capital project evaluations, strategic initiatives, and business case development.</li><li>Analyze variances, trends, and operational KPIs to provide actionable insights for department leaders.</li><li>Support corporate compliance by implementing, monitoring, and reinforcing McWane financial policies and procedures.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies and supporting data‑driven decision-making.</li></ul><p>Accounting &amp; Administration</p><ul><li>Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition processes.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely completion of month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.</li><li>Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.</li><li>Assist in enhancing accounting processes through technology upgrades, ERP improvements, and system automation.</li><li>Support treasury-related tasks, including cash management, banking activities, and coordination with the Credit function.</li></ul><p>Team Leadership &amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration</p><ul><li>Supervise assigned Accounting team members, providing guidance, feedback, and development support.</li><li>Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Finance organization.</li><li>Partner with Operations, Sales, Engineering, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment between financial objectives and business initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with IT and data analytics resources to improve financial reporting, dashboards, and data accessibility.</li><li>Spend time in manufacturing and operational areas to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure financial practices align with real-world operations.</li></ul><p>Additional Duties</p><ul><li>Support safety and security procedures in both office and plant environments.</li><li>Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and development of finance and accounting staff.</li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Controller or General Manager.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",
