This role works closely with flight crews, ramp agents, and internal teams to ensure each flight is properly catered and ready for departure.<br><strong>Reports to:</strong> Lead Flight Coordinator <strong>Schedule:</strong> Rotating shifts within a 24/7 operation (weekends/holidays as needed)<br><br><strong>FLIGHT CATERING</strong></p><ul><li>Load and unload meals, beverages, and equipment onto catering trucks.</li><li>Safely operate trucks and lift platforms to deliver catering to aircraft doors.</li><li>Verify accuracy of load sheets and ensure all items meet flight requirements.</li><li>Deliver catering on schedule to meet strict departure timelines.</li><li>Communicate with flight attendants and ramp staff regarding changes or needs.</li></ul><p><strong>SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE</strong></p><ul><li>Follow all FAA, TSA, DOT, and airport safety guidelines while operating on the ramp.</li><li>Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.</li><li>Maintain a valid DOT medical card and adhere to random drug/alcohol screening.</li><li>Use required PPE and follow HACCP/GMP food safety procedures.</li><li>Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or incidents immediately.</li></ul><p><strong>EQUIPMENT AND WAREHOUSE SUPPORT</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain truck cleanliness, organization, and readiness.</li><li>Assist with replenishing carts, staging equipment, and returning trays/pans.</li><li>Support warehouse operations during downtime, including sorting equipment and resetting carts.</li><li>Participate in spill-response procedures and maintain up-to-date documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with flight crew and airport staff.</li><li>Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced aviation environment.</li><li>Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety at all times.</li><li>Excellent time management and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in refrigerated environments.</li></ul><p><strong>OUR MISSION AND CORE VALUES</strong><br>At Abby’s Catering, our mission is to deliver exceptional in-flight and corporate catering through quality, reliability, and personalized service.
