This dynamic, multi-functional team ensures the effective rollout of new products across the platform, packages and positions products to appeal to consumers, and helps set the future direction and pace of innovation in our organization.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Senior Director of Product Management is responsible for guiding the overall roadmap for the Product portfolio of PowerSchool. The Senior Director is responsible to leading and managing the business analysis, roadmap development and guiding all product activities for the Product portfolio. Captures, articulates and manages requirements and use case documentation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Product Management team is critical in full lifecycle product planning, delivery, and marketing with the end user in mind.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Your day-to-day job will consist of:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the development and implementation of the Classroom Portfolio roadmap.</li>\n <li>Manage a team of product management professionals.</li>\n <li>Assess needs and opportunities for Classroom products through research and feasibility analysis.</li>\n <li>Manage, gather, and analyze competitive intelligence data for product lines.</li>\n <li>Participate in product modification, support cost reduction, margin analysis, forecasting, product positioning and pricing strategies.</li>\n <li>Ensure roadmap plans are aligned with portfolio vision, business objectives, market needs, and competitive environment.</li>\n <li>Senior product expert positioned as a key resource with Clients, prospects and partners.</li>\n <li>Work with Sales and Project Management to gather/document business requirements.</li>\n <li>Lead the writing and curation of clear, detailed business requirements for product and project initiatives.</li>\n <li>Work effectively within and across Classroom data operations and engineering teams to execute projects and roadmap items.</li>\n <li>Assist in creating go to market strategies.</li>\n <li>Stay abreast of changing industry regulations affecting product development.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 12+ years of relevant and related work experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.</li>\n <li>Travel occasionally, up to 15-20%, for key moments such as team summits, training, customer meetings, company events, etc., with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.</li>\n <li>This position is subject to company on call policies which constitutes working hours outside of the normal workday as needed.</li>\n <li>Manage and lead others effectively, growing the skill set and capabilities of the team holistically and for each individual contributor</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle models</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Specialized knowledge</li>\n <li>Understanding of K12 District needs for the classroom</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills</li>\n <li>Exhibit intelligent decisiveness</li>\n <li>Manage multiple projects/products simultaneously</li>\n <li>Excellent customer-facing skills</li>\n <li>Excellent ability to listen for both what is and is not being said - seek to understand before being understood</li>\n <li>Able to operate within a structured environment, but willing to foresee and/or solve problems when they arise</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation & Benefits</h2>\n<h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3>\n<p>PowerSchool offers the following benefits:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive Insurance Coverage (including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D)</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts</li>\n <li>Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability</li>\n <li>Comprehensive 401(k) plan</li>\n <li>Generous Parental Leave</li>\n <li>Unrestricted paid time off (known as Discretionary Time Off - DTO)</li>\n <li>Wellness Program, including ClassPass & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Optional Benefits: Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Student Debt Repayment Program and Prepaid Legal coverage</li>\n</ul>\n<p>A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $144,900 - $241,100 USD.
