Once hired, we encourage our employees to continue to seek opportunities for advancement and leadership.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>*New grads are encouraged to apply - we'll train you in the exciting field of correctional healthcare!*</strong> </em> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities for Behavioral Health Technicians:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provision of life skills training to groups or individual patients as assigned.</li>\n <li>Engagement in active treatment programming.</li>\n <li>Provision of daily documentation of type of services provided and number of patients participating.</li>\n <li>Monitor patients during scheduled and free time activities to minimize episodes of out-of-control behavior.</li>\n <li>Interact with patients in socially appropriate manner to include involvement in activities or games.</li>\n <li>Participation in unit treatment team planning.</li>\n <li>Documentation of critical incidents and treatment progress in patient's medical record.</li>\n <li>Participation in unit morning report.</li>\n <li>Participation in monthly unit staff meetings.</li>\n <li>Provide support to therapist.</li>\n <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications for Behavioral Health Technicians:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.
