As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our safety approach is essential to our success.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with the Company estimating systems and processes. </li>\n <li>Applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles.</li>\n <li>Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact the project estimates and begin to assist in quantifying the impact. </li>\n <li>Technical estimating skills. </li>\n <li>Prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.</li>\n <li>Performs duties with some complexity under general supervision. </li>\n <li>Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.</li>\n <li>Understands Division costing structure (overheads, G&A, insurance, etc).</li>\n <li>Develops wage rate build-ups.</li>\n <li>Reads and interprets drawings and specifications.</li>\n <li>Develops detailed material take-offs for estimate development and field procurement of bulk materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li>\n <li>Experience estimating heavy civil, heavy industrial, or complex commerial construction projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.</li>\n <li>Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.</li>\n <li>Highly organized with excellent time management skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel for bid meetings and related activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between<strong> $110,000- $150,000</strong> per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week.
