Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job Description:</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><b>JOB DESCRIPTION: Specialist-Contracts</b></p><p><b>The Impact You’ll Make in this Role</b></p><p>Specialist – Contract–will be part of the Global Legal Service Center (GLSC) and will perform drafting, reviewing and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts. This position will report to the GLSC Contracts Work Group Lead and work closely with the Legal Affairs Contracts Center of Excellence (CCOE). The Specialist-Contract is an experienced legal professional with sound knowledge of contract drafting and best practices.</p><ul><li><b>Responsibilities: </b></li></ul><p></p><ul><li>Supports the CCOE in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts with vendors and customers, including Master Services agreements, purchasing agreements, pricing agreements and other agreement types, managing compliance with 3M internal standards, requirements and playbooks.</li><li>Identify and escalate key risks and issues in contracts</li><li>Prepares legal summaries and term sheets for contracts</li><li>With CCOE, Support 3M business teams as they negotiate these contracts with third parties.</li><li>Provides contract/matter status updates to CCOE as needed</li><li>Assists in the development of contract playbooks and fallbacks on various contracting topics, as well as guidelines and self-service tools.</li><li>Use AI tools to help manage, expedite and improve the contracting process.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills and expertise</b></p><ul><li><span>Possess a bachelor’s degree in law with high academic credentials from an accredited institution. </span></li><li><span>Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract drafting preferably with vendor or procurement contracts </span>within a law firm/corporate legal department/contract service provider.</li><li>Strong negotiation and drafting skills with keen attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a quick learner.</li><li>Strong organizational skills: ability to establish priorities, balance multiple tasks and deadlines at one time and effectively manage competing priorities.</li><li>Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.</li></ul><p><b>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include</b></p><p><b>•</b>      Any additional legal certifications on contracts drafting and negotiation</p><ul><li>Familiarity with CLM tools</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>Familiarity with AI based tools</li></ul><p><b>Relocation Assistance:</b></p><p>•           In country relocation assistance is not authorized for this role.</p><p>•           Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>Learn more about 3M’s creative solutions to the world’s problems at www.3M.com or on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @3M.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>Safety is a core value at 3M.
