Other duties may be assigned.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. &nbsp;Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics plan and modify maintenance activities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformation with operational standards.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimum operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquainted workers with company policies and procedures.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Recommends and initiates measures to improve production, methods, equipment performance and quality of product.</p><p><br></p><p>Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, and procedures.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. &nbsp; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational chart, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Bachelor&#39;s degree from four-year college or university in engineering or related field or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering field. &nbsp;Supervisory experience helpful.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. &nbsp;Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. &nbsp;Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. &nbsp;Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. &nbsp;Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. &nbsp; The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. &nbsp;The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. &nbsp;Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
