    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB: </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Under the direct </span><span>supervision of</span><span> the</span><span> </span><span>Program Coordinating Team</span><span>, the Youth Coordinator supervise</span><span>s</span><span> camp participants at all times. This </span><span>includes in camp</span><span>, during cam</span><span>p outings, and while in </span><span>cabins. Youth</span><span> Coordinators </span><span>are</span><span> responsible for</span><span> the care and conduct of up to ten (10) youth at once. </span><span>Youth Coordinators will be assigned cabin and camp participants to supervise on a continual basis for the duration of each camp session.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; JOB FUNCTIONS, including but not limited to: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Provides supervision, </span><span>education</span><span> and </span><span>assistance</span><span> to assigned camp participants during camp sessions.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Works with the Program Coordinating Team and other Nuuciq Spirit Camp staff to </span><span>maintain</span><span> safety on Nuchek Island.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Provides support for housing, chores, meals, and other traditional, scheduled activities.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensures</span><span> participants are up in the morning and in bed at night </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> established schedules.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work</span><span>s closely with Kitchen Assistant</span><span> during scheduled chore times.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Monitors assigned participants </span><span>to</span><br><span>ensure their personal </span><span>safet</span><span>y and</span><span> active</span><span> participation</span><span> in camp activities</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Reports any safety concerns to the Program Coordinating Team.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Performs other duties as assigned. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Professional Associations): </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mandatory: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>At least e</span><span>ighteen (18) years of age.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Successfully</span><br><span>pass</span><span> a </span><span>pre-employment </span><span>background check. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Works effectively with individuals of various ages</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform under pressure and effectively handle </span><span>numerous</span><span> priority events simultaneously</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Knowledge O</span><span>f: </span></span><span><span>camp procedures, policies, and practices; social and cultural needs of the Nuuciq Spirit Camp communities; </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Ability To: </span></span><span><span>maintain</span><span> confidentiality; communicate effectively orally and in writing; deal with people in a professional and courteous manner; exercise good judgement and initiative; be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision; interpret and analyze work-related problems and respond appropriately; work as a member of a team of individuals working toward a common goal</span></span><span> </span></p>",
