Other duties may be required and assigned.</p><ul><li>Performs custodial tasks, i.e., emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; washing windows; dusting furniture; cleaning vents, fans, and walls.</li><li>Performs sanitizing tasks in various facility areas, i.e., restrooms, kitchen and food areas, cafeterias.</li><li>Performs physically demanding tasks requiring use of heavy custodial equipment, i.e., mopping, stripping, waxing, floor buffing. Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.</li><li>Removes trash by emptying trash containers; transports materials to disposal area; recycles materials.</li><li>Uses appropriate chemicals and cleaners safely and productively according to instructions and established State Department of Education regulatory to ensure personal, student, public, and staff safety.</li><li>Responds to emergency situations in order to confine, resolve or prevent injurious or otherwise hazardous conditions, i.e., spills, broken windows, broken locks.</li><li>Requisitions supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.</li><li>Moves heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually with assistance or by using hand trucks.</li><li>Sets up, arranges, or removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.</li></ul>",
