          "text": "<p>The Chemical Technician II is responsible for supporting operations by staging and moving manufacturing materials around the site via forklift, pallet jack, or hand.&#xa0; Performing production floor support activities such as stocking materials, obtaining samples, changing filters, labeling and packaging finished materials. &#xa0;Preparing tanks to receive production batches, perform compounding/transferring operations, and loading/unloading of bulk materials. Performs housekeeping tasks.&#xa0; Works under the direction and supervision of more experienced operations team members. In this role, <strong>you will work&#xa0;2nd Shift, 2:45PM-11:00PM, Mon-Fri.</strong></p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p><p>Activities and duties may vary depending upon site specific needs and daily work assignments. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Moves manufacturing materials as required, including by hand.</li><li>Prepares packaging, obtains samples, changes filters, labels and loads drums, totes, and tankers with finished product.</li><li>Prepares tanks to receive production batches by transferring material or performing water rinsing to meet schedule requirements.</li><li>Follows standard operating procedures including entering variables and monitoring transfers for compounding/blending materials making adjustments as needed.</li><li>Records data and maintains paperwork and spreadsheets associated with assigned work, judging for accuracy and completeness of data.</li><li>Follows safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.&#xa0;</li><li>Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing assigned housekeeping tasks.</li><li>Follows verification process to ensure highest quality standards are met.</li><li>Obtains assistance from higher level production personnel if problems arise or normal instructions are insufficient.&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p>Minimum Requirements:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.&#xa0;</li><li>This job may require the periodic use of a respirator. Proper fit of the respirator requires the employee to be clean shaven.&#xa0;</li><li>Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.&#xa0;</li><li>Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.&#xa0;</li><li>Must have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.&#xa0;</li><li>Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge; must take initiative to cross-train and sustain acquired skills.&#xa0;</li><li>Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.</li><li>Must have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instruction.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.</li><li>Ability to stand on feet for several hours</li><li>Mechanical aptitude</li></ul><p>Preferred Requirements:</p><ul><li>Associate certificate/2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.</li><li>EHS &amp; Quality training desired, hazardous materials training desired.</li><li>Fork lift and Yard Truck experience desired.&#xa0;</li><li>1-2 years chemical manufacturing or applicable experience strongly preferred.</li></ul><p>NOTE: The physical requirements of this role may vary by location.&#xa0; A detailed listing of the physical requirements may be obtained from the local Human Resource contact or the site Occupational Health Nurse.</p><p><em>As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, Avery Dennison requires all final candidates to successfully complete a comprehensive background check and a drug screening.
