The Project Engineer manages assigned projects from product sampling and witness manufacturing through creating final certification documentation within client budgeted timelines. &nbsp;This position will travel at least 25% of the time.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule:&nbsp;</strong> Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p><strong>Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of building codes and related product standards by research and review. This includes witnessing of testing at the laboratory to see the product standards in action.</li><li>Assume responsibility for project tasks and establish client commitments with follow-through</li><li>Review and thoroughly understand contract requirements and document any deviations.<span>&nbsp;</span></li><li>Communicate directly with clients on status of tasks, required information, and completion dates.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with the testing laboratory on a regular basis to ensure smooth client transitions between tasks.<span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></li><li>Conduct off-site, in-person audits at manufacturing facilities with the ability to lead the audit, communicate requirements, and document all phases of production and quality control.<span>&nbsp;</span></li><li>Develop detailed audit reports that document all the details gathered during the audit.<span>&nbsp;</span></li><li>Develop factory audit manuals promulgated from the audit reports.&nbsp;</li><li><p>Develop test plans and evaluation plans based upon research findings.</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span></p></li><li>Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to the various manufacturing locations.<span>&nbsp;</span></li><li><p>Perform other work as required</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;\">This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Degree in Engineering or closely related field of physical science</li><li>Technical competence to effectively communicate test procedures, specifications, and results with customers while possessing skills in diplomacy conducive to working with clients through technically challenging compliance issues</li><li>Capability of working both individually and within a team</li><li>Good research, documentation, record keeping and technical writing skills</li><li>Ability to understand and apply new test methods and procedures for assigned projects</li><li>Expected to travel as business needs dictate</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Passing of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) or Engineer-in-Training&nbsp;<span> </span>(E.I.T) designation&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of construction material characteristics and applications, manufacturing techniques, supply sources and engineering principles</li><li>Knowledge of the U.
