    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) contract at the NASA Glenn Research Center, Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio is searching for an Electrician to perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Install or repair a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.</li>\n<li>Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.</li>\n<li>Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment.</li>\n<li>Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment. </li>\n<li>Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<li>Journeyman certificate or equivalent skills and experience or an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Engineering Technology plus two (2) years of related experience.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with basic electrical codes and knowledge of proper use of the NEC handbook.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from engineering or supervision.</li>\n<li>Ability to use own judgment and decisions to allow continuity of work flow.</li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated and a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Must be able to organize time and assignments to properly prioritize efforts for maximum effectiveness.</li>",
