Safety – Uphold and advocate a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and PPE requirements. 2. Quality – Deliver high standards of workmanship and reliability on every job. 3. Efficiency – Complete tasks swiftly and accurately to meet production goals and client timelines. Position Overview: CDL Driver / Operator We are seeking a CDL Driver to support our commercial concrete and excavation operations. Responsibilities will include transporting machine, operating eqiupment, and ensuring overall site readiness. Operator Duties · Excavator: High Proficiency with an excavator in digging foundations. (600-800’ per day on a straight wall for example) · Utilize grade control systems on the machine in tandem with rotating laser. · Grade Control Skidsteer: Comfortable with setting up Trimble Grade Control System on CAT Skidsteer for Flat Grades and/or 3D grading sytems · Rotating Laser · Robotic Total Station Control · Grade Control Dozer: · Comfortable with setting up Trimble Grade Control System on CAT Dozer for Flat Grades and/or 3D grading sytems Class A Driver Duties · Safe Transport: Drive a manual transmission truck for hauling materials on/off job sites and in/out of pits/quarries. · Road & Jobsite Safety: Maneuver on roadways and job sites while loaded, maintaining strict safety protocols. · Production Goals: Achieve targeted production rates by loading/unloading efficiently and communicating project needs. · Work Environment: Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and remain capable of climbing in/out of the cab, trailer, and dump body multiple times a day. · Equipment Inspection & Operation: Perform pre-start/post-trip inspections, ensuring safe equipment operation. · Load & Unload Machinery: Secure and transport heavy equipment, properly tie down loads, and follow size/permitting requirements. · Equipment Knowledge: Understand machine limits, dimensions, and any applicable transport regulations. · Work Quality & Accountability: Take ownership of your work. Immediately report any deficiencies or issues to supervisors. · Team Communication: Collaborate with supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and placed correctly. · Maintenance & Care: o Perform daily checks and minor repairs on your truck and trailer. o Conduct regular greasing, part replacements, or adjustments as needed. o Know how to set up and secure vehicles/equipment for different job requirements. · Ask Questions: If unsure about any aspect—be it safety, quality, or scheduling—seek clarification. Qualifications · Valid CDL (Class A) with a good driving record. · Manual Transmission Experience. · Physical Requirements: Ability to work in all weather conditions, lift/carry materials, and climb in/out of vehicles multiple times daily. · Safety-First Mindset: Familiarity with DOT regulations, pre/post-trip inspections, and general OSHA standards. · Availability: Willing to work Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
