    "description": "<p><span>Permit Archaeologist / Crew Lead </span></p>\n<p>Ember Archaeology, a Division of Tree Time Services, is looking for a Permit Archaeologist or Permit Archaeologist in training to support our Projects by:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading survey crews on large projects under the close direction of the Project Archaeologist / Permit Holder</li>\n<li>Acting as an assistant / senior hand on mitigative excavations.</li>\n<li>Contributing to artifact analysis and permit reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline</li>\n<li>Two field seasons (12 months) Cultural Resource Management experience</li>\n<li>Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract</li>\n<li>physically fit, able to carry 30 pounds, lift 50 lbs, and hike up to 10 km per day</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Desired Experience and Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Current Permit Status in Alberta</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to collect standardized data efficiently</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to follow direction and receive feedback</span></li>\n<li><span>Love of the outdoors</span></li>\n<li><span>ATV operation experience</span></li>\n<li><span>4x4 driving experience</span></li>\n<li><span>Good sense of direction, GPS, compass &amp; map navigation skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Valid safety tickets, including</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>        ◦ First Aid</p>\n<p>        ◦ <span>H2S Alive</span></p>\n<p>        ◦ <span>ATV operator</span></p>\n<p>        ◦ <span>Ground Disturbance</span></p>\n<p>        ◦ <span>Bear / Wildlife Awareness</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Conditions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Work outdoors in all weather conditions</span></li>\n<li><span>Work 10 to 12 hour days on a 10-on, 4-off schedule.</span></li>\n<li><span>Work away from home up to 24 days if required</span></li>\n<li><span>Lodgings in hotels, work camps, and camper trailers as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Compensation:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Negotiable based on experience and qualifications</span></li>\n<li><span>Full Time 40 hrs/week</span><br></li>\n<li><span>55$ per diem during fieldwork</span></li>\n<li><span>Flex-time</span></li>\n<li><span>Health Benefits</span><span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Some of the benefits of being part of our team include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Close-knit team who care about and learn from each other</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong safety culture and track record</span></li>\n<li><span>Commitment to doing good work</span></li>\n<li><span>Focus on continuous learning and professional development</span></li>\n<li><span>Opportunities to take on challenging work and try new things</span></li>\n<li><span>Management tries hard to support work-life balance</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Ember’s head office is in Edmonton and most of our work is in northern Alberta, but we’ve had people work remotely from Terrace BC to St. John’s Newfoundland.</span></p>\n<p><span>We’re working to expand our reach and eager to explore satellite office opportunities.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Upload a one to two page resume in PDF format.
