          "text": "<p><strong>Who You’ll Work With</strong></p><p>Arista Networks is looking for world class Software Test Engineers to join our fast-paced, high caliber team responsible for validating the products and solutions developed at Arista Networks.</p><p>You will work with software development engineers, hardware engineers, field support engineers and software test engineers to gather technical requirements, create software test plans, and validate that the product meets our customer’s requirements.&#xa0; You will also work with our customer support and engineering teams to help address escalated customer issues by reproducing, and debugging customer issues in the lab.</p><p>This role demands a strong and broad networking background with a good understanding of Ethernet switching, signaling and data communication. Knowledge and skills related to software test methodologies and the use of test tools is also important.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Create and execute test plans that complement other testing and involve scale, stress, interoperability, and customer scenario testing to validate features and products in optical, data communication and power over ethernet.</li><li>Knowledge of the theory of high performance computing, communications and networking.</li><li>Work with Customer Support and Software Development teams to understand and reproduce customer found defects and validate fixes.</li><li>Install and configure test tools like Teledyne, Sifos, Reach and Ixia to emulate devices in test environment. &#xa0;</li><li>Log and track failures in bug tracking system.&#xa0; Troubleshoot failures and work with software and hardware development team to get them fixed. &#xa0;</li><li>Review functional specs and test plans and provide feedback. &#xa0;</li><li>Create and manage the schedule for assigned test efforts.</li><li>Use and/or develop scripts and tools to facilitate testing.</li><li>Assist and mentor other less experienced <em>Software</em> Test Engineers.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>BS CE/EE plus 1&#xa0;year&#xa0;of experience or MS.</li><li>Strong knowledge in two or more of the following areas: power over ethernet, analog signals, optical communication, fiber optics, ethernet network switches.</li><li>Experience in developing test methodologies.</li><li>Experience configuring, testing, trouble-shooting, or supporting ethernet network switches.</li><li>Experience with Ixia, Spirent, Wireshark, tcpdump, or a similar network traffic generation or&#xa0; packet capture/analysis tool.</li><li>Experience with Teledyne, Sifos, Reach or similar signaling or load emulator tools</li><li>Familiarity with at least one of the following: Linux, network management, or scripting.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul>",

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market.
