Description

Up to $30,000 in student loan repayment! We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly motivated Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Psychiatric care team. Working under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, the RN plays a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care to children and adolescents experiencing acute behavioral health challenges. This role combines direct patient care with leadership in assessment, coordination, delegation, and quality improvement. An ideal candidate for a Pediatric Psychiatric Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) possesses a unique blend of clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Here are the key characteristics and qualities that define success in this specialized role: Clinical Competence: Strong assessment skills, Knowledge of psychiatric and developmental disorders, Medication management expertise. Emotional Intelligence & Compassion: Empathy, Emotional regulation, Non-judgmental attitude. Child & Adolescent-Centered Approach: Developmentally appropriate communication, Trauma-informed care mindset, Playfulness and creativity. Team Collaboration & Leadership: Team player, Delegation skills, Mentorship mindset Resilience & Adaptability: Emotionally resilient, Flexible and adaptive, Problem-solving mindset. Organizational & Communication Skills: Strong documentation habits, Effective communicator, Detail-oriented Safety & Crisis Management: Crisis prevention and intervention, Milieu management Must be able to successfully perform physical holds, movements and carries. Blocking and redirecting patient movements against the patient’s weight Physical interventions in response to aggressive and self-injurious behavior. Ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene in situations when protective holds and/or movements are deemed necessary. Physically able to perform, but not but not limited to: pivoting, knee squats, shuffling front and backwards, assisting with carrying a person, assisting a person to the floor, stabilizing people in standing, seated, prone and supine positions. This role demands more than just nursing skills—it calls for a deep commitment to children’s mental health, strong boundaries, emotional awareness, and the ability to lead with compassion and strength . The right person in this role can make a lasting impact on young lives and be a vital force in their healing process. This position is both physically and emotionally challenging , but it offers a deeply rewarding experience as you directly impact the lives of children and adolescents on their journey to healing.
