    "description": "<p>This is great opportunity to learn about design and teamwork within the design side of the building industry. We seek entry level or individuals with 1-3 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design of building systems.&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>Successful candidates will be involved with: construction document creation; technical design; execute project production schedules; coordination with other professional disciplines (structural engineers, electrical engineers and architects, to name a few) and will work under a licensed professional engineer in a collaborative team environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>Job Requirements include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Designer will assist Mechanical Engineer and/or Mechanical Design Team to design, implement and draft construction documents in support of clients&#39; building program, including HVAC and plumbing systems.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should utilize education and experience to independently tackle minor challenges as they arise on projects, with the support and/or direction of the Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Team lead.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should start to apply knowledge gained from national standards (such as IMC, IPC, ASHRAE) and experience into construction documents, with oversight from Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Team Lead.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Job Duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Designer will develop skills in AutoCAD and/or REVIT, relevant national codes and travel to project as necessary (as required by client). Designer will become familiar with software assisting the design process, such as Trane Trace.</li>\n\t<li>Designer will work in a collaborative environment with Architects and other Engineers to develop construction documents based on a clients&#39; requirements.</li>\n\t<li>Designer shall perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to Mechanical Engineer for final review.</li>\n\t<li>Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a regular basis.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>About HFA</strong><br />\nHFA is a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and interior design firm who thrives in a people first driven environment.
