This technician will assist in developing test methods for inspection of medical devices manufactured in a facility that is registered to ISO 13485, and in some scope accredited to ISO 17025.</p><p><br></p><p>As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Perform dimensional metrology on precision vascular devices and components.&nbsp;</li><li>Program dimensional inspection routines with automated optical inspection tools, such as MicroVu</li><li>Review and contribute to the design and development of metrology&nbsp;fixtures, tools and software</li><li>Work with closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, and R&amp;D&nbsp;Engineers to support existing metrology processes</li><li>Handle Metrology equipment PM, calibration, and general laboratory&nbsp;auditing and maintenance</li><li>Train Manufacturing Operators and Technicians on metrology processes&nbsp;and best practices</li><li>Demonstrate best practices in optical and other metrology techniques</li><li>Possess competency in reading and understanding mechanical&nbsp;dimensioning, tolerances and engineering specs</li><li>Have the ability to work in a matrix organization and contribute to the projects</li><li>Have demonstrated a sense of ownership for work and prove leadership qualities</li><li>Have strong team skills and the ability to work professionally with&nbsp;all teammates<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Education and Experience:<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Certification or&nbsp;Associates degree a plus.</li><li>A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Metrology or similar&nbsp;photonics field or Quality</li><li>Formal or on-the-job training of MicroVu or similar metrology equipment</li><li>Must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to&nbsp;read and write technical documentation</li><li>Intermediate mathematical skills and understanding of basic math and geometry.</li><li>Strong understanding of measurement concepts and ability to interpret&nbsp;engineering drawings per ASME and ISO standards.
