    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Join us in leading the </strong><strong>change!</strong></p>\n<p>As a Senior Power System Engineer at EPE you will manage and lead power system projects, including leading other power system engineers, performing analyses, and communicating results to clients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform high level bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.</li>\n <li>Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.</li>\n <li>Interact with Clients to seek input and address their needs and concerns with respect to the project(s) under study.</li>\n <li>Lead and teach electrical engineers in performing power system steady state, short circuit, and dynamic &transient stability analyses.</li>\n <li>Perform advanced and specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies.</li>\n <li>Develop mitigation plans for identified constraints and system issues.</li>\n <li>Develop and review transmission planning study methodologies and processes.</li>\n <li>Lead process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency.</li>\n <li>Support business development activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field</li>\n <li>5+ years of professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer with hands-on experience working with steady-state and dynamic base cases</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of power system basics, transient stability, and master in of-the-shelve software tools like PSS/E and TARA.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of multiple power regions of the country and independent system operators such as PJM, MISO, NEISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ERCOT, NYISO</li>\n <li>Proven team player skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.</li>\n <li>Strong technical/report writing skills.</li>\n <li>Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation under experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in Power Systems</li>\n <li>SPP or Midwest MISO region experience</li>\n <li>PSCAD or EMT study experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We are designing the Grid of the future</strong></p>\n<p>We are innovators by nature<strong>, </strong>for over 50 years, Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe to focus on complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
