  "key_responsibilities": "<ul><li><!--block-->Assist in the design and development of transportation projects including roadways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and traffic improvements.</li><li><!--block-->Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D).</li><li><!--block-->Perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations, including horizontal/vertical alignments, grading, drainage, quantities, and traffic control layouts.</li><li><!--block-->Support preparation of project documents such as cost estimates, technical reports, design summaries, and bid packages.</li><li><!--block-->Conduct field visits to support data collection, condition assessments, surveying coordination, or construction observations.</li><li><!--block-->Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions and ensure project quality.</li><li><!--block-->Assist with preparation of IDOT, LPA, or municipal submittals and ensure adherence to applicable design standards and guidelines.</li><li><!--block-->Review and interpret topographic surveys, geotechnical reports, environmental documents, and utility data.</li><li><!--block-->Participate in coordination with clients, utility companies, and permitting agencies as needed.</li><li><!--block-->Contribute to internal QA/QC processes, documentation, and design reviews.</li></ul><div><!--block--><br></div>",
