Click to learn more about GTC.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform body repairs on commercial trucks and trailers, including cabs, frames, panels, doors, and bodies</li>\n <li>Repair or replace damaged metal, fiberglass, aluminum, and composite components</li>\n <li>Perform welding, cutting, grinding, straightening, and fabrication as required</li>\n <li>Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, masking, priming, filling, and sealing)</li>\n <li>Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company and customer standards</li>\n <li>Use body shop tools and equipment safely and properly</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area</li>\n <li>Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and issues</li>\n <li>Follow all safety, environmental, and shop procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Additional Painter Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mix paints and coatings to proper specifications and apply using spray equipment</li>\n <li>Paint complete vehicles or components, ensuring color match and finish quality</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)</li>\n <li>2+ years of experience in a commercial truck or heavy equipment body shop (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience with automotive or industrial painting systems</li>\n <li>Welding experience (MIG preferred; aluminum welding a plus)</li>\n <li>Ability to read work orders, repair plans, and paint specifications</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship</li>\n <li>Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Skills & Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of commercial truck body construction and materials</li>\n <li>Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and paint equipment</li>\n <li>Color matching and finish blending skills</li>\n <li>Time management and ability to meet deadlines</li>\n <li>Team-oriented with a strong work ethic</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Shop-based position with exposure to paint fumes, dust, and noise</li>\n <li>Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>\n<p>$20 to $50 hourly pay based on experience.
