Description

The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees and leaders across multiple areas of Human Resources, with a strong focus on benefits administration, employee support, compliance, and HR operations. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees regarding health and welfare plans, leave administration, payroll-related benefits questions, onboarding, and HR policies. Responsibilities: Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA/FSA, EAP, and retirement plans Manage benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and qualifying life events Assist with annual open enrollment activities including employee communication, meetings, system updates, and vendor coordination Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure timely processing in HRIS/payroll systems Reconcile benefit invoices and assist with carrier audits Coordinate COBRA, ACA, and other compliance-related benefit activities Assist employees with leave-related processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation coordination Support recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, onboarding, and new hire orientation Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation compliance Process employment changes including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and separations Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times Stay current on employment laws, HR best practices, and benefit trends Partner with payroll to ensure benefit deductions and employee data are accurate Audit HRIS records for accuracy and compliance Assist employees with HRIS self-service tools and benefit enrollment systems such as Employee Navigator
