We are seeking a dedicated <strong>Facility Maintenance Worker</strong> to join our team to ensure our County-owned buildings and grounds operate safely, efficiently, and securely.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>General Maintenance &amp; Repair:</strong> Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Groundskeeping &amp; Safety:</strong> Maintain landscaping, clear debris, and execute snow/ice removal on parking lots and walkways.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Security &amp; Systems:</strong> Conduct maintenance on building security devices (locks, cameras, alarms) and building systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Emergency Response:</strong> Participate in an on-call rotation (including carrying an after-hours duty phone) to handle facility emergencies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Equipment Care:</strong> Perform preventive maintenance on County tools, mowers, and vehicles.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic knowledge of electricity, boilers, generators, and elevators.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat or cold and lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with County staff and visitors.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to pass a drug-screening test.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education:</strong> High school diploma or GED equivalent. (Technical school or college courses in a maintenance-related field are a plus).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience:</strong> 2 to 4 years of increasingly responsible related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in boilers, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, or groundskeeping.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Licensure:</strong> Must be legally licensed and insured to drive a motor vehicle, with the ability to drive in inclement weather.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment &amp; Travel</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Routine travel throughout the County is required, with occasional out-of-state travel.
