The <strong>Maintenance Technician II</strong> works under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Director of Facilities Management to ensure that all buildings, systems, and grounds are properly maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and structural repair, along with a commitment to safety, teamwork, and the mission of St. Joseph’s Villa.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Work Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:00pm with on/call hours </p>\n<p>Pay Rate:  $24/hour - $26/hour</p>\n<p>Status: Full-time, Non-exempt</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Perform structural repairs (masonry, woodwork, glass, sheetrock, plaster, furnishings) and painting of interior and exterior spaces.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain and repair utility systems, including electrical wiring, controls, HVAC, steam boilers, steam piping, and refrigeration systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain and repair roofs, eaves, and rooftop ventilation systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Service and repair vehicles, tractors, lawn mowers, and motorized equipment.</p></li>\n <li><p>Operate building automation software for HVAC controls.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct preventive maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, calibration, coil and vent cleaning).</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain campus grounds, including trees, shrubbery, fences, gates, walls, and walkways.</p></li>\n <li><p>Pick up and deliver donated furniture and large items; move furniture and equipment as needed.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure safe work practices, high ethical standards, and compliance with regulatory/accrediting requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Attend staff meetings, training programs, and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.</p></li>\n <li>Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.</li>\n <li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma is required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record required.</p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum 6 months of related maintenance/mechanical experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, and proprietary software.</p></li>\n <li><p>Universal Refrigerant Certification required unless focus is Carpentry</p></li>\n <li><p>Journeymen or Masters by DPOR preferred.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>General knowledge of mechanical trade tools, methods, and materials.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to diagnose and repair recurring equipment issues in a cost-effective manner.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.</p></li>\n <li><p>Working knowledge of electrical wiring, electronic controls, and flow systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p></li>\n <li><p>Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs., work at heights, underground, and in all weather conditions.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
