Are you ready to join a company where the work you do makes a difference, and where you can grow in your career?  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Here’s what Transcat has to offer—</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work that matters</li>\n <li>A values-based culture where people care about each other and the work they do together</li>\n <li>Flexibility</li>\n <li>Training and development to accelerate learning and career advancement</li>\n <li>Competitive compensation and benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, retirement, stock purchase plan, and MORE!</li>\n <li>Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour</li>\n <li>Hours: 9am - 6pm </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Warehouse Personnel II position will receive, ship, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products and perform additional functions within Transcat establishments by performing the duties outlined below.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The employee must be able to perform the following warehouse operations error free with little direction/supervision:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Picking</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Separate Pick Lists based on warehouse location, destination, priority, and order type</li>\n   <li>Pick items from warehouse according to the Pick List, including proper item numbers, quantities, and units of measure</li>\n   <li>Understand and utilize FIFO (first in, first out) method</li>\n   <li>Identify urgent orders and treat them with priority</li>\n   <li>Stage picked orders in appropriate area for boxing or movement to lab</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Packing/Boxing</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Pack items using our boxing verification system to ensure all items and quantities match the Pick List</li>\n   <li>Box/palletize items with sufficient packaging material to prevent shifting and damage during transit and include printed Packing List</li>\n   <li>Identify special handling notes/requests and comply appropriately</li>\n   <li>Affix appropriate labels to box</li>\n   <li>Stage boxes in appropriate area based on shipping method and destination</li>\n   <li>Modify ship quantities in system, as needed</li>\n   <li>Enter asset numbers on rental units</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Shipping – Run Through</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Become proficient with UPS WorldShip or current UPS software, FedEx software, and other 3rd party software/web pages</li>\n   <li>Verify box order label and Pick List match</li>\n   <li>Confirm UPS account number, customer name and address, shipping service, and billing type matches</li>\n   <li>Choose box size or enter box/pallet dimensions and freight class</li>\n   <li>Print label. Affix shipping label firmly to box/pallet and receipt label to Pick List and schedule pickup, when applicable</li>\n   <li>Add freight charges, tracking, and manually close orders, as needed</li>\n   <li>Understand harmonized codes and how to look them up</li>\n   <li>Create customs paperwork for Canada and Puerto Rico shipments</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Receiving</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Identify inbound packages and separate per destination (PO, lab, rental return, credit return, etc.)</li>\n   <li>Check packaging for damage</li>\n   <li>Verify package contents against packing slip</li>\n   <li>Process receipts in A+</li>\n   <li>Properly label each product with barcode labels</li>\n   <li>Identify discrepancies and fill out report when needed</li>\n   <li>Stock received items using FIFO method</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Inventory</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Count inventory for daily cycle counts and annual physical inventory</li>\n   <li>Rotate stock as needed</li>\n   <li>Perform warehouse transfers (moves)</li>\n   <li>Research and resolve discrepancies</li>\n   <li>Support lab when they have defective stock (TCS)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>General</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Complete training on operational procedures</li>\n   <li>Inspect equipment to ensure it is in safe, working order. Report issues to team leader or manager</li>\n   <li>Keep warehouse clean and organized</li>\n   <li>Maintain and organize departmental paperwork</li>\n   <li>Report discrepancies to team leader or manager</li>\n   <li>Participate in continuous improvement program</li>\n   <li>Follow all safety requirements</li>\n   <li>Coordinate large orders with lab personnel, when appropriate</li>\n   <li>Work with Sales, Rentals, Lab, and Purchasing as needed </li>\n   <li>Process stock rotations and vendor returns</li>\n   <li>Fulfill other duties, as assigned</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Typical Additional Duties That May Be Assigned</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Processing work orders</li>\n   <li>Receiving stock repairs</li>\n   <li>Releasing credits</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p>\n<p>To be considered for a warehouse personnel II position, the following knowledge, skills and abilities are required  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong commitment to customer satisfaction </li>\n <li>Good written and verbal communication skills </li>\n <li>Proven track record of excellent attention to detail </li>\n <li>Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while completing work in a timely manner </li>\n <li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation </li>\n <li>Work well in a group and individually</li>\n <li>Proven computer skills</li>\n <li>Ability to use a forklift, pallet jack and complete required training </li>\n <li>3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) </li>\n <li>2 or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
