Whether you're advancing national security, driving innovation in nuclear infrastructure, or supporting critical DOE and DoD operations, you’re part of something bigger here.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC and Houston, TX.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup</li>\n <li>Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development</li>\n <li>Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design</li>\n <li>Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen</li>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check</li>\n <li>Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance</li>\n <li>Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design</li>\n <li>Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred</li>\n <li>Previous DOE/NNSA work experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Schedule</h2>Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n<h2>Why Omega Technical Services?</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a trusted partner to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other commercial clients, supporting mission-critical projects that shape national security and technological innovation.
