Accountable for achievement of department and hospital goals in concert with other hospital and medical staff leadership.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Leads and oversees daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Recruits, develops, mentors, and manages nursing staff to build a strong, engaged team.</p></li>\n <li><p>Manages departmental performance, including staffing, budgeting, and operational efficiency.</p></li>\n <li><p>Promotes a culture of safety, quality improvement, and excellent patient experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>Supports evidence-based nursing practice and implementation of new technologies, services, and processes.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong> Education/Training </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required</li>\n <li>Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama.</li>\n <li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li>\n <li>Within 2 years of hire - National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) years as a registered nurse in CVICU and at least one (1) year nursing leadership experience.</li>\n</ul>",
