Here, you can apply your passion and collaborate with top environmental professionals on work that’s vital to our clients and the communities they serve.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Join a team that’s naturally committed to the environment.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><strong>Your Opportunity</strong></p>\n<p>We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated senior Water Resources Engineer / Environmental Engineer with experience in water resource.&nbsp; You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line, contributing to a wide range of water resources projects.</p>\n<p>This role includes the opportunity to provide business development, manage water resources projects and water quantity and quality components of larger projects and will involve working with other experts in the fields of water, mining, environmental management, transportation, infrastructure and other disciplines on a variety of complex projects.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>You will ideally sit within one of our regional offices (Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton or Whitehorse) but will work within the national water resources community.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><i>General Responsibilities</i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to and lead business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients</li>\n <li>Assist in analyzing current and emerging technical issues, and implementing actions to proactively address market, business, regulatory, and/or economic issues</li>\n <li>Identify new business opportunities and support the technical component of business development materials</li>\n <li>Lead and manage water resources projects involving hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality components</li>\n <li>Responsible for planning and conducting assignments/projects having broad scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult tasks</li>\n <li>Provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to intermediate and junior level staff</li>\n <li>Provide expertise to internal and external clients to resolve complex problems and issues</li>\n <li>Manage projects, mentor and guide water resources staff in a dynamic team setting</li>\n <li>Apply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issues</li>\n <li>Qualify as a Quality Reviewer and undertake Quality Reviews of deliverables</li>\n <li>Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work</li>\n <li>Assignments/projects are advanced in nature and require the application of mature knowledge</li>\n <li>Demonstrate sound understanding and application of established practices, standards and guidelines&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>Water Resources Responsibilities</i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical expertise and support water resources designs, proposals, and reports</li>\n <li>Experience with water quality models such as CORMIX, Goldsim, QUAL2K, etc., and statistical software such as R is an asset</li>\n <li>Mining experience including mine water balance models, mine water management plans and water management infrastructure designs</li>\n <li>Experience with environmental flow needs assessments, fish habitat loss assessments and designs related to habitat compensation plans</li>\n <li>Work with multi-disciplinary teams on groundwater and surface water assessments, surface water compliance, contaminant investigations, environmental assessments and permitting applications, etc</li>\n</ul>",
