    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>An LCSW stands for Licensed Clinical Social Worker. These professionals have a master’s degree in social work and are licensed to practice independently. Their expertise lies in mental health, and they provide psychotherapy, counseling, and talk therapy to clients experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and addiction. LCSWs assist clients by offering guidance on handling challenging life situations and providing necessary resources4. They play a crucial role in helping individuals work through behavioral disorders, mental illnesses, and other personal challenges.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in carrying out the mission of the school to empower positive behavior in our students, assist them with coping skills, assure that all elements of each student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP) are updated regularly, followed, and remains in compliance.</li>\n <li>As a member of The Fedcap School Domestic Violence Programs, and under the supervision of the Director of Client Services, the LCSW is responsible primarily for providing counseling to clients (within their assigned caseload).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Primary interface for access services such as peer/family counseling and support, screening, assessment, brief treatment, consultative services, education and engagement, linkages, outreach, and advocacy. The LCSW will sit down one on one with victims of DV and dating violence, their children and offer mental health therapy (based on a Trauma-Informed Care approach) to help them improve the quality of their lives.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Oversee the Case Management work of Case Managers and Advocates who provide direct support and advocacy services geared to enhancing the development, problem-solving, and coping capacities of people; provide resources and services to people; linking people with systems that provide them with resources, services, and opportunities; information and referrals to outside agencies and to the legal department as appropriate and the LCSW will coordinate/oversee the work of the Social Worker interns assigned.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conducts brief, non-stigmatizing screenings to evaluate the needs of adults and older adults, adolescents, and/or children for mental health and support services, based on direct interview and interaction with the family and/or discussion with other staff members who interact with the family. Assess, evaluate, formulate, and implement treatment plans for clients.</li>\n <li>Performs comprehensive assessment for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence, and medical needs. Conduct follow-up as appropriate based on results of evaluation.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide early interventions and referrals to specialty mental health services, including referral for more intensive psychological or psychiatric support services, if needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Document findings in client records according to established protocol. Submit monthly reports on number of unduplicated clients, behavioral health consultations, screenings, assessments, and brief treatment encounters provided.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain client records, including all mandated agency forms in accordance with agency policy, state Confidentiality and HIPPA laws. Keep all records and information confidential. Maintain confidentiality regarding privileged administrative and client information in a professional manner.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Keep caseload as required and ensures case documentation is up-to-date and reflective of services provided.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conducts ongoing periodic evaluation and at exit of program for all clients. Conduct patient satisfaction surveys with all patients receiving services. Also, participate in program development and evaluation, and collect and compile data as required by program and funding sources.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Facilitates and oversees Case Management and Support Groups for victim’s domestic violence.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Attend Case Management/Support Group meetings, as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Handles client concerns with regards to counseling issues.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Report suspected child and elder abuse and follow up on all such reports.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Supervision of interns.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor. service providers, and other relevant agencies on topics and issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Protecting against outbursts or behavioral issues that may arise if a special education student is over stimulated, frustrated, or otherwise needs a break from the classroom.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br/><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong><br/><br/><u>Required Education and Job Experience</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey</li>\n <li>MSW from a CSWE-accredited program or one that’s in candidacy for CSWE accreditation or a doctorate in social work from a CSWE-accredited institution</li>\n <li>Field Requirements: Two years of full-time clinical social work, meaning 3,000 hours under direct supervision of an LCSW subsequent to earning an MSW</li>\n <li>Exam: ASWB Clinical Exam</li>\n <li>License Renewal: Every two years</li>\n <li>Experience working with students with special needs is preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Build strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Work cooperatively with others on a team.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice.</li>\n <li>Analyze, make decisions, and resolve situations/problems effectively within the scope of responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.</li>\n <li>Be patient and sensitive to individuals with disabilities.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br/><i><strong>The Fedcap Group</strong>&nbsp;</i>provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
