If who we are and what we do resonates with you, we invite you to join our high-performance team!\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>Designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations | Responsibilities are within the Environmental Health and Safety Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks</li>\n <li>Develops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational process</li>\n <li>Works with close supervision</li>\n <li>Performs manual tasks according to established procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists with implementing and maintaining company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. </li>\n <li>Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. </li>\n <li>Assists with performing experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. </li>\n <li>May also design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. </li>\n <li>Supports in identifying, assessing and resolving problems concerning the environment. </li>\n <li>Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. </li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. </li>\n <ul>\n  <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Vocational/Technical Training Degree</li>\n   <li><strong>Discipline/Major:</strong> Technical training preferred</li>\n   <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Environmental compliance. Safety best practices. Safety communications. Safety inspections. Safety training. Safety policies and procedures. Inspection documentation.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.</li>\n   <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n   <li>Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Travel Requirements</h2>No or very little travel likely.\n  <h2>_____________________________</h2>The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
