You will be supported by experienced engineers committed to mentorship and technical development.<br><br><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the process design and optimization of lithium recovery and advanced desalination systems, including development of PFDs, P&IDs, and mass balance models for modular water treatment processes.</li><li>Support the development and validation of mathematical process models to evaluate performance, optimize designs, and inform technology scale-up.</li><li>Research, evaluate, and recommend process equipment, instrumentation, and control strategies based on technical, operational, and economic considerations.</li><li>Assist in developing control philosophies and process narratives to support automation, safe operation, and consistent system performance.</li><li>Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), HAZOPs, and design reviews to support safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.</li><li>Contribute to commissioning planning, execution, and performance testing to validate system operation and achieve design targets.</li><li>Collaborate with senior engineers to improve team standards, workflows, and overall technical capability, contributing to continuous improvement and process excellence.</li></ul><strong>You will be a great fit if you have:</strong><ul style=\"margin-bottom:11px;\"><li>A degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.</li><li>Relevant experience in Process or Chemical Engineering within an industrial setting (design, testing, or operations), or other professional experience with clearly transferable skills.</li><li>Familiarity with developing P&IDs using AutoCAD P&ID or similar software is an asset.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.</li><li>Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.</li><li>Hands-on aptitude for equipment, systems, and troubleshooting is considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to organize, prioritize, and consistently deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.</li><li>A proactive mindset with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new challenges, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Why join Saltworks?</strong></p><p>At Saltworks, you'll collaborate with talented colleagues to solve complex, real-world problems – designing and delivering innovative water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies.
