    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Job Title:</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> Nurse Practitioner</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Status:</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> Non-Exempt, Part-Time </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The nurse practitioner will be responsible for providing regularly scheduled adult primary and  preventive patient care, urgent care services and comprehensive education for patients with diabetes. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Duties:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">For regularly scheduled patients, performs complete history and physical exams, orders diagnostic tests, and prescribes appropriate treatment, consulting with the Medical Director as needed. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provides coverage on the phone or in person for health center patients that require urgent care, including, initial assessment, treatment, and triage.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Respond to phone calls from established health center patients seeking advice or medication refills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Serve as backup in case of absence of the Nurse Manager; including oversight of patient flow and direct nurses during the clinical sessions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist in the tracking of patient care follow up.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work with the medical staff to implement quality assurance protocols.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist in the development of programs to enhance patient care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform chart review of Nurse Practitioners.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Become proficient with BVMI’s EMR system, and act as a resource to other practitioners, as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform subject to BVMI Quality Assurance protocols.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Employment Standards:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must maintain an Advanced Practice Nursing license in the State of New Jersey</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> Minimum of 5 years experience in a multi-physician or hospital-based primary care practice.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience in diabetes care preferred but not re</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">required (Comprehensive on-the-job training and support will be provided).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with professional medical staff and volunteers; knowledge of electronic medical records.
