    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>DESIGN SHOP LEADER</strong></p><p>WINNETKA, IL</p><p>Serena &amp; Lily is seeking a Design Shop Store Leader to lead our Design Shop in Winnetka, IL. The Design Shop Leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining client services, oversees and is accountable for the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through hiring, merchandising, inventory, expense control, human resources management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a leader in a customer focused and design driven environment.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Master, teach and hold team accountable for embodying and operating by the Serena &amp; Lily Brand Ethos (Innovation, Style, Integrity, Optimism, Expressiveness, Confidence &amp; Appreciation)</li><li>Ensure Brand Expression is always conveyed appropriately in Design Shop presentation and associate behavior</li><li>Ensure that each client and/or designer receives outstanding client service by providing a warm, friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every client, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of client service</li><li>Master and teach brand standards regarding outreach, design advice, floorplans and mood board creation for in-store or virtual design advise requests</li><li>Create a warm, welcoming, inspiring, and empathetic on-brand client experience</li><li>Manage Assistant Store Leader and Design Advisors in all daily aspects relevant to driving sales and running the business</li><li>Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives. Grow client base, including designer outreach</li><li>Coach, counsel and continually develop team through continual evaluation and reaction to performance issues in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team</li><li>Actively recruit Design Advisor &amp; Leadership candidates to maintain appropriate staffing level.</li><li>Control shrink, expenses, and payroll</li><li>Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked. Lead and maintain visual standards of the store, per home office directives</li><li>Understand, uphold and monitor compliance to company policies and procedures</li><li>Effectively and efficiently communicate directives from home office</li><li>Lead in home design consultation process</li><li>Any other responsibilities as assigned by Leadership</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>5-7 years of retail leadership experience, interiors/home furnishings field preferred</li><li>Strong contacts in and knowledge of the local interior design community is preferred</li><li>Ability to lead in a team environment</li><li>Strong sense of personal style</li><li>Industry awareness and strong business acumen</li><li>Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire team to achieve excellence</li><li>Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals through solid business planning</li><li>Proven ability to deliver excellent client service standard and ability to lead best practice implementation</li><li>Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Willingness to ask questions and seek solutions; self-starter</li><li>Meticulous organization and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to use a MacBook for web navigation, email and Zoom, 3-D rendering experience a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.</li></ul><p>Essential Physical Requirements:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS system</li><li>Ability to communicate with associates and clients</li><li>Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation</li><li>Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor and stock area</li><li>Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store</li><li>Ability to climb ladders</li><li>Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds</li><li>Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations including weekend and holidays</li></ul><p><strong>COMPENSATION:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>$90-110k depending on experience. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.</li><li>Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena &amp; Lily&rsquo;s benefits. Employees can enroll in our company&rsquo;s 401k plan.
