The person in this role should be able to use and perform advanced troubleshooting and operational expertise across a broad range of laboratory instrumentation, including GC, GC‑MS, HPLC, IC, and SEM‑EDS, while supporting innovation, R&D, and manufacturing needs. You also will assist and supervise analysts following safe laboratory practices.\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Development of new analytical techniques and implementation in the production lab.</li>\n <li>Analyze non-standard samples and provide detailed reports to the submitter.</li>\n <li>Train analysts on new testing procedures and techniques.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot methods and procedures when needed.</li>\n <li>Provide analytical solutions to complex problems or samples.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Chemistry</li>\n <li>7 years of experience in analytical method development and optimization in an R&D laboratory.</li>\n <li>Experience in one or more of the following instrumentation platforms: GC, HPLC, GCMS, SEM-EDS, ICP.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication in defense of data and results.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage complex workloads without direct supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of statistical modeling including Minitab or other software tools.</li>\n <li>Supervisory experience in an R&D laboratory.</li>\n <li>Experience in Shimadzu Lab Solutions or Agilent Chemstation.</li>\n <li>Cellulosics chemistry understanding.</li>\n</ul>",
