We are seeking an enthusiastic Physician Assistant to join our friendly, dynamic team in a busy Gastroenterology practice in the DFW suburb of Southlake, TX. Our clinic has been serving the community over 20 years and is also a partner of the fast-growing GI Alliance organization. Our practice fosters a team approach that will enable the PA to expand their skillset and knowledge. We are dedicated to providing training and guidance to allow the PA to excel with a sense of proficiency and accomplishment. The PA in this position will have a meaningful impact in the practice. Job Description : Practice address: 505 S. Nolen Drive, Southlake, TX 76092 Busy Gastroenterology clinic, working both independently and in conjunction with the physicians Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm No call responsibilities No inpatient responsibilities Seeing both new and follow-up patients Approximately 14 patients per day Elicit detailed patient histories, conduct physical examinations and document findings Counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatments Support, educate, guide office clinical staff (Nurses, MAs) and office staff (schedulers) in regard to patient care Determine tentative diagnoses and order appropriate diagnostic tests, interpret pathology findings, imaging, laboratory and other results Counsel patient and family on endoscopic indications, findings, potential complications and expected outcomes Achieve proficiency in the practice and EMR Collaborate with referring physicians and offices, hospitalists, surgical partners and other specialties for optimal patient care Maintain in good standing licensure with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Active TX State Licensed Physician Assistant - Required Certified Physician Assistant - Required (must have taken/passed the PANCE) Highly motivated and enthusiastic - Required Seeks efficiency - Required Exhibit professional work standards - Required Ability to communicate effectively and professionally - Required Ability to communicate and work collegially with a wide variety of team members - Required Gastrointestinal experience - Preferred New Physician Assistant graduates will be considered GI Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
