    "jobDescription": "<p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Position Title:</b></p>2026-27AY Quarterly Lecturer - Finance (Pool)<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Position Type:</b></p>Temporary<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Salary Range:</b></p><p><span>Starting at $10,230 per 4-unit undergraduate course</span></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Purpose:</b></p><p><span>The Department of Finance at Santa Clara University seeks candidates for multiple positions as a Quarterly Lecturer to teach various courses in Finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the 2026-27 academic year. Santa Clara University is a Jesuit, Catholic university located in Silicon Valley. </span></p><p></p><p><span>This pool is refreshed annually to address short-term teaching needs in the Leavey School of Business. Quarterly Lecturers are appointed on a course-by-course basis for a fixed term of one quarter.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications: </b></b><span>Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in a related field. </span></p><p></p><p><b><b>Responsibilities: </b></b><span>Teach undergraduate finance courses:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Developing syllabi, assignments, and readings that align with course learning outcomes</span></p></li><li><p><span>Conducting and appearing on time for all scheduled class meetings</span></p></li><li><p><span>Using appropriate measures of student performance and providing timely feedback</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assigning grades that are an accurate and fair evaluation of student work by quarterly deadlines</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintaining regular office hours at times convenient to students</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Preferred Qualifications: </b></b><span>A Master&#39;s degree is desirable.
