    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Flagger Force</strong>, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Field Trainer (2). This position will be based in our southern Virginia market. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Field Trainer 2 is primarily responsible for both classroom and on-the-job training, coaching and developing the performance of field employees, and promoting the safety and quality standards of the organization. This role emphasizes field instruction mastery, student career development, and maintaining high levels of student engagement, all while acting in accordance with company values, vision, and mission.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide expert hands-on training and classroom instruction, demonstrating advanced field training techniques to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of safety and quality standards.</li>\n <li>Identify and support student growth by making objective recommendations for career development and providing guidance for professional advancement.</li>\n <li>Enhance and maintain high student engagement levels throughout various training classes using innovative and interactive teaching methods.</li>\n <li>Provide classroom instruction as needed, approximately 50% of average monthly assignments.</li>\n <li>Administer hands-on training for various courses, ensuring practical application of skills.</li>\n <li>Test and evaluate all students, record grades, and dismiss non-eligible students.</li>\n <li>Monitor student engagement and learning levels throughout various training classes.</li>\n <li>Review all training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.</li>\n <li>Identify potential instructor candidates and assist in the development of junior-level instructors.</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized classroom at all times.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the inventory of classroom materials.</li>\n <li>Provide field on-the-job training as needed, approximately 50% of average monthly assignments.</li>\n <li>Administer the external portion of the Basic Work Zone training process and ensure all aspects of training, including the DRIVE program, are completed in accordance with established protocols and timelines.</li>\n <li>Provide daily support, coaching, and guidance on best practices to field employees.</li>\n <li>Submit completed BWZ checklists to the Training team.</li>\n <li>Manage field employee performance, including on-site coaching to review proper site setup, required PPE usage, and answering questions.</li>\n <li>Work with Risk Training and Operations to identify field employees needing additional coaching and development on a weekly basis.</li>\n <li>Professionally represent the organization to clients, employees, and the public, whether actively working on a site or providing training or job site support.</li>\n <li>Assume field employee responsibilities when necessary and as assigned.</li>\n <li>Conduct, attend, and participate in various department meetings as necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy.</li>\n <li>Assist safety personnel with the investigation of incidents.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with peers and managers to ensure alignment with Flagger Force processes and procedures.</li>\n <li>Travel within 1-2 hours from home frequently, with opportunities for overnight stays outside your home market if interested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What Flagger Force Offers:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, vision and dental insurance</li>\n <li>401k w/company match</li>\n <li>Generous paid time off</li>\n <li>Paid holidays</li>\n <li>Health savings account</li>\n <li>Company paid benefits (long term disability and basic life/AD&D)</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Tuition and education assistance</li>\n <li>Employee appreciation events</li>\n <li>Giving back to the communities we serve through paid volunteer time off</li>\n <li>Professional development opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in hands-on field training techniques.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and support student career development.</li>\n <li>Proficient in maintaining high student engagement levels.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to adapt quickly and manage time effectively.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).</li>\n <li><p>Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Must hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Valid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>One (1)+ year(s) experience with Flagger Force and/or similar traffic control knowledge  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Flagger Force is an industry leader in traffic control.
