The following are the duties and responsibilities of the Laminator. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Mold inspection prior to production, clean and repair as needed, and mask off areas which are not to be laminated</li><li>Work with various resins, gel-coats, fiberglass materials, foam and other adhesives</li><li>Spray chopped fiberglass, resins and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns with chopper attachments - release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers</li><li>Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth and wood bracing materials per production requirements</li><li>Pat or press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smooth out wrinkles and air bubbles with hands or squeegees</li><li>Mix catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures, using brushes</li><li>Install wood or and other components to hulls, desk and molds</li><li>Operate certain power tools not limited to chop gun, saws, drills, grinders and hoists</li><li>Check completed products for conformity and repair or modify discrepancies if detected</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member</li><li>Follow safety and health standards &ndash; use of dust masks, respirators, gloves, eye protection and other protective equipment as required</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management, supervisors and/or management</li><li>Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirement</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Additional Skills and Competencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Basic mathematical skills</li><li>Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements</li><li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English</li><li>Meeting production schedules</li><li>Knowing chemicals, their dangers, safety procedures, mixing procedures and time limits</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member</li><li>Follow safety and health standards &ndash; use of protective equipment as required</li><li>Ability to work 8+ hour day shifts (sitting, standing, bending and reaching) and moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements</li><li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management, supervisors and/or management</li></ul><p><strong>Required education and experience:</strong></p><p>High School Diploma or equivalent - 2 - 5 years of experience finishing - Prefer knowledge with fiberglass and resin, spray painting, composites, marine material knowledge and marine experience.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>OTHER JOB DEMANDS:</strong></p><p><u>Working Conditions</u></p><p>Works inside with occasional outside work.</p><p><u>Physical Effort</u></p><p>Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with infrequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; stooping, kneeling or crawling with moderate effort; reaching and handling is required often with moderate effort; pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs.</p><p><u>Physical Environment</u></p><p>Exposure to dirt, dust, hazardous substances and equipment does exist; they occur often. &nbsp; Protective eyewear is required when in production area.</p><p><u>Sensory Attention</u></p><p>Senses of seeing, smelling and touching are required with extreme concentration for long duration.</p><p><br></p><p><em>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
