Work involves the maintenance and landscaping of City grounds; application of herbicides and insecticides as needed and equipment; assisting with the repair of light equipment assigned to the department. Work also involves assisting with the clearing of land for designated areas and sidewalks; setting up and assisting with special events. Reports to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.<strong> </strong></p>\n\n<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION</u></strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Performs general landscape maintenance duties, including mowing and trimming grass and shrubbery, edging, spraying herbicides and pesticides, and spreading grass seed and fertilizer; polices areas to remove debris and litter.</li>\n\t<li>Prepares and maintains grounds and facilities; grading and performing general landscaping functions on City property.</li>\n\t<li>Assists supervisor with the maintenance and repair of equipment assigned to the department; assists with routine maintenance of equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong><u>ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p>\n\n<p>Performs other related work as required.</p>\n",
